it is 9:15 am. i am at work, waiting to photograph a carson's living room. pastel colored prints on the wall. this is ocean city new jersey at it's best. finn is in his crate sleeping on my desk. i can not afford a saturday dog sitter. five days a week is enough.

remember bill cosby's picture pages ? i cannot get that song out of my head. maybe its related to the 'a different world' dvd box set i bought last night . didn't he produce that show ?

i sign an eight month lease for a new apartment on damen and augusta in about three hours. i have to provide for my family of two. workin' hard for my baby.

Dear Lord,

it has been way over a year since my last confession. I have thought unkindly of others, imagined myself pulling hair out of cheating heads. i've even thrown a body in a bathtub. i can't help it. i'm born and raised east coast style. feisty. mouthy. and ready to go.

sorry ive been so distant this year. im back.

i photographed my first wedding this past saturday. all by myself. no assisting. it was nerve racking. they did not have a wedding coordinator so everything was left up to me. in the beginning i was nervous and i was getting my camera ready while the bride was getting ready. i quickly pulled my camera up and shot, only to document what a bride looks like wihout the top half of her dress on. so embarrassing. i also accidently chuckled when the bride said, " i do....with God's help" i thought she was trying to add a bit of humor into such a dry event. i was mistaken. sitting two feet from her mother and father. and when i was taking the posed shots of the wedding party. the parents stood behind me saying to each other, "that's a good shot...oooooh, that's a gooood shot ! " it made me nervous...

...i have been doing very little creatively. besides painting planks of wood from work. and making little photocopy books. very little indeed. somebody pay me to do very little for them, please.

yes yes yes! i am back in chicago and in full effect. so much to say. however, i have a job interview in one hour so i will keep this short. the last week has been spent scurring around seeing friends and looking for work. i've sent a lot of time with tammy, mike, and phoenix. i love that little girl. the realization that they are parents still hasn't settled in yet. but man, is that kid something else.
